I’m extremely happy I went with See Jane Blush for my wedding makeup. After looking into a few salons for makeup and seeing how expensive they were I decided to look at just makeup artists. There were several reasons I chose Clare. First, her prices were cheaper than any of the salons I looked at. If you are within a certain mileage she doesn’t charge for onsite. All the salons I looked at did. Second, she gives you a free trial!! I hated having to spend an extra $65 on my hair trial when I was already spending $100 on the day of style. I don’t know any place that gives free hair or makeup trials. Third, she doesn’t charge extra for airbrush although I didn’t use it and lashes are included! Lastly, Clare is overall a great person to work with and is easy to talk to and even threw in a mini lipstick so I could do a more bold lip for the rehearsal.

Clare was a delight to work with! She made sure I looked like myself (but polished) and the look lasted through the night. Clare was fantastic to work with. She was always easy to get a hold of, professional, and extremely knowledgeable. I normally don't wear much makeup, especially color on my lips, but Clare picked out the perfect assortment for me. I still looked like me, just "prettied" up around the edges. It ended up being near 100% humidity on my wedding day, and I spent close to 3 hours outside after my makeup was applied. Speaking from someone who usually prefers little to no make-up, I was very timid about looking and not feeling like myself for my wedding. After the initial trial, all my fears were put to rest. Clare listened to what I was looking for (and also was just an enjoyable person to talk to!). After seeing the make-up, I truly felt like an elevated version of myself. On my wedding day, she arrived earlier than scheduled, was completely prepared and worked very efficiently. More importantly, she exuded a calming and positive energy. One of my friends told me about Clare a month before my wedding when the person who I had booked to do my wedding turned into a fiasco. I was stressed to the max and didn't know what I was going to do! I met up with Clare and did a trial. She did such an amazing job!! I was worried about my eyeliner smearing bc I tend to have that problem if I don't use a certain kind. But sure enough my makeup stayed on and perfect! I even put it to the test. I went for a 3 mile jog in the pouring down rain. My makeup was still as perfect as it was earlier that day! She did my makeup for the wedding too and it lasted through my many many happy tears. There were several things I loved about Clare besides her makeup skills-which are phenomenal! She has a very calming way about her, which is what every bride needs! She was so reliable. I had no doubts she would be there for me and she was easy to get in touch with. Her prices were reasonable and comparable to everyone else I had looked up. The job I gave her to do though, was my makeup. She clearly went above and beyond just my makeup. The makeup she did was very natural. I felt like my face glowed. I felt totally and completely beautiful! My makeup looked great in the pictures too! I wouldn't recommend anyone else. I gave her 5 stars because she is truly "Wow, the best ever!”

Clare is honestly the best!! To start she was very prompt with all of her responses throughout the entire planning process. On my initial trial we did airbrush and after going home I was not in love with it, Clare eagerly set up a second trial with me to assure I was happy. Both trial applications (airbrush and traditional) stayed on all day and night without any smudging or fading. The day of Clare was amazing. I had 9 total ladies including myself and she moved through everyone with ease. Each girl had their makeup personalized to them and each looked more beautiful then the next. My make up did not budge once it was applied, I even woke up the next morning with it on. Clare was wonderful to work with not only as an artist but a person. You cannot go wrong with having Clare on your glam squad!!

Clare is absolutely amazing at what she does! My two sisters and I have all used her services for our wedding days, and everyone has always been so pleased with their make-up each time. She makes it very easy to schedule a trial with her, and the make-up is flawless every time she applies it. I had a huge zit the day of my trial, and she was able to cover it up flawlessly and it stayed hidden all day long. Luckily, I did not have the same blemish problem the day of my wedding, but I know Clare would have taken care of it if I did. She is always so accommodating and pleasant in correspondence, which really is a lifesaver when you are planning a million things! Also, the fact that she sells the make-up she applies at a discount for you to use throughout your Big Day is a total game-changer. I used the lipstick she applied and I purchased a few times that day (it really stayed on very well) and basically every day since. My sister is absolutely in love with the blotting powder Clare introduced her to on her wedding day, and took advantage of the discount for the product the day on my wedding! Clare is the absolute best! 10/10!!

Clare was extremely friendly and professional from the moment I messaged her. At my first trial I didn't quite end up with what I was looking for (I'm extremely picky), but as soon as I voiced my concerns with Clare she was immediately understanding, and scheduled another trial the same exact week. I used Clare for my makeup on my wedding day, and she did a wonderful job! I don't usually wear a lot of makeup, so I was nervous how it would turn out. But it looked beautiful and very natural. I received so many compliments from family and friends. Clare gave me a free trial a few months before the wedding to test out the makeup and see what I wanted done. She is very thorough and determines what would look best on you. The day of the wedding, she came to the hotel where we were getting ready and did makeup for me, my mom, and four bridesmaids. Clare did my makeup for my wedding and did my mom's and two of my bridesmaids' as well. We were sooo happy with how it all turned out! All of us opted for airbrush and false eyelashes. I had never worn fake eyelashes and was a little nervous but she made them look natural and beautiful. I cannot say enough about how much I loved working with Clare. Excellent makeup was high on my list of wedding day priorities, so my standards were high. My trial with Clare helped to calm so much of my wedding anxiety. I knew that no matter what went wrong, my makeup would look fantastic. Her demeanor is very calm and that helped me both during my trial and on my wedding day. It was like her calmness was contagious! Clare also did makeup for my mom, MIL and Matrons of Honor. They all looked so beautiful when she was done. Her makeup makes you look like the very, very best version of yourself. That's the only way to describe it. My husband is pretty clueless when it comes to girly things, but when we were kneeling on the alter he kept saying how pretty I looked and he specifically said he liked my makeup! He never says things like that. I had a lot going on that day... A full head of extensions, a designer wedding gown... and he loved my makeup. I couldn't get over it. I should also add that prior to the wedding ceremony my bridal suite was an absolute nut house. I had my bridal party, the moms, crying flower girls, two videographers and a photographer all in the suite at once. Clare did not flinch at the chaos and kept right on producing beautiful faces. When we were leaving the bridal suite for the church things got so crazy that Clare had to take cover on a nightstand while I was put into my dress, shoes and veil and whisked away. Clare is the perfect combination of talent and professionalism that you would want for your wedding day. In fact, I have hired Clare to do makeup for my sister-in-law's wedding this winter. I knew that having Clare significantly made my wedding day better and I wanted my sister-in-law to experience that, too.

I have only good things to say about working with Clare. We had 8 girls to do in a limited time slot and she was punctual (early!), efficient, and effective! Our wedding day was hot (80F) and humid, and my makeup was not only beautiful, but durable through many tears for 12+ hours. Communication was quick via e-mail and text. She was flexible and accommodating for the trial appointment (included!), and traveling for the wedding day. Her prices are competitive, and does not slam a surcharge just because you're a BRIDE vs. bridesmaid vs. other. I plan to use her again for upcoming parties!

I wouldn't think twice about booking Clare again. She was AMAZING and worth every penny and more. She made me and all of the bridesmaids (11 people nonetheless!) look and feel our best which is all you can ask for on your wedding day. She is so talented and the makeup literally lasted all the way through a 90 plus degree day (and I'm embarrassed to say even looked good the next morning!). Clare was amazing! She was so helpful during the trial and then again on the big day! I asked for sweat-proof and cry-proof make up and she made it happen. Everyone in my bridal party got the same quality of make up, and it never smudged. Despite 80 degrees and humid for the outdoor ceremony and photos and a reception rain storm, everyone's makeup remained perfect. She came to our venue and got everyone done quickly!

Wow, where do I begin?? Clare was of the best vendor decisions I made. I had a small bridal party with only two bridesmaids. However, I would have paid the solo price to have her services though. As many others have said, she provides a free trial, comes to most sites without a travel fee, and includes lashes and airbrushing at no extra charge. Those were all things I was looking for. The price I paid was much cheaper than most salons or independent makeup artists I looked into. She is really easy to talk to and listened to all my concerns and requests. I looked exactly how I wanted to and felt more beautiful than ever on my wedding day. We made a few changes between the trial and the wedding, and it still turned out amazing both ways. She was even willing to work out of my parents’ garage day of the wedding. My bridesmaids were also very pleased with her work, and my one bridesmaid who is Asian and doesn’t wear much makeup felt comfortable that Clare could address her wishes without concern based on pictures of past work. I am looking for an occasion to have her do my makeup again. Thanks so much Clare!!!

If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. Clare did my bridal makeup, in addition to the makeup for my 4 bridesmaids. We all have VERY different makeup styles. She listened to each of our preferences and made us all feel and look beautiful! Everyone’s makeup looked incredible. I was especially concerned about my chest being red and blotchy (which happens when I get emotional or nervous… not a good look for wedding pictures). After relaying this to Clare, she suggested airbrushing, which worked wonders! My makeup was perfect the whole day, even after tears and rain. Clare is calm, quick, efficient, and professional. All of which were greatly appreciated on our tight schedule the morning of my wedding. She is awesome at answering any and all questions throughout the whole process-- from booking to your wedding day. I cannot recommend Clare and See Jane Blush enough. Clare is the absolute BEST! She was able to give me the natural look I was going for, but still made it feel more special and elegant. I adore Clare and cannot recommend her enough. A natural beauty herself, she gave me the natural look I was seeking to make my blue eyes pop. I have struggled with chin acne my whole life, so I have scars and almost always have blemishes. Im very insecure about this and was so worried about how I would look in pictures, especially because I sweat a lot, too. She was able to make my skin look *flawless*. I have had makeup done professionally a number of times, and always felt like I had 800 pounds of makeup on my face. Clare has airbrushing down to a science. The makeup provided perfect coverage, but was light and breathable. My wedding was July 1st and we walked 2 blocks to/from our reception and ceremony site. I was swearing a bit, but everything stayed in place 7+ hours later! Like, I legit looked like a real life doll all day. Last but not least, Clare is so reasonably priced compared to many other bridal makeup artists out there. Do yourself a favor and book her for your special day before someone else does!

Clare did my makeup, my wedding party's and my mom's makeup for my wedding in June. She did such an amazing job! I loved how natural and light the makeup was. She offered a free trial, which was such an added bonus. And she did the makeup for my two little Flower Girls at no charge! They were in heaven! I highly recommend Clare. clare came to my house for the day of the wedding and did makeup for myself, mob, mog, and 3 bridesmaids. we all absolutely loved our makeup and that is saying a lot considering 4 of the 6 that had their makeup done typically don't wear a full face. clare is very good at keeping things natural, but still stunning in pictures, or more dramatic if you want it as well. besides myself, nobody else showed her an idea of what they wanted yet we all loved what she did. the airbrush makeup really did stay on all day(even through the cake all over my face/up my nose thanks to my husband and sweating from being on the dance floor most of the time) thank you so much!!!

I taught a hot yoga class after my trial and the make up stayed out through the 95 degree heat, so I was very confident that it would last the whole day/night for the wedding, which it did, while remaining natural looking. I would highly recommend Clare - my bridesmaids, mom, mother in law, and I could not say enough wonderful things about her and her work!

Clare was an incredible makeup artist to work with! She was so responsive throughout the entire process and very reasonable pricing for her amazing work. Not many of my bridesmaids originally wanted to get their makeup done, but after showing them pictures of Clare's work they were converted! She was able to appease everyone's own personal unique style and preferences and made all of my bridesmaids, moms, and myself look like the best version of ourselves. Clare was amazing and I would hire her again in a heartbeat. She provided makeup for 8 of us total - across BMs, moms, and sisters - all on her own and ahead of schedule! I loved that everyone came out with a polished but natural look (and she was also able to pivot the day-of and do an amazing 40's glam look for my sister!). When I decided I did not like something from the trial, there was zero defensiveness when I brought it up - Clare was instead 100% focused on what needed to change to get the look I wanted. And the day of, when rain forced my outdoor wedding indoors and I answered the hotel door in tears, she was empathetic and gave me and my BM's all the space needed to process / re-center on the day.....even though that meant entirely re-arranging the make-up schedule on the spot. I am SO happy I went with See Jane Blush for my wedding makeup! Clare did an amazing job with making myself, my mothers and bridesmaids look perfect. We had some different styles and expectations to manage - my mom and mother-in-law don't wear a lot of makeup and wanted to look natural, a few of my bridesmaids are very into makeup so expected a little more glam, and I wanted something in between. Everyone was really happy and comfortable with how they looked, and I've honestly never felt more beautiful. Our wedding day was also one of the hottest days in October, and as someone who sweats I was really worried about how my makeup would hold up all day and night. Luckily I went for my trial on an equally hot and humid day, so she was able to figure out the right formula that really did stay put until the end of the night! Clare was also super easy and professional to work with from beginning to end. I did a lot of research and comparison before going with her, and she is by far the most affordable vendor with equal (or better!) high quality makeup and service you'd find anywhere else. Do yourself a favor and book her for your wedding ASAP, you won't be disappointed!

Highly HIGHLY Recommend Clare! I cannot gush enough about how amazing Clare is. I am not the biggest make up fan-- on a daily basis I wear very minimal make up. I was nervous that I would look like an overdone clown with a ton on-- but Clare completely eased my worries. I wanted an enhanced, but natural look, for my wedding day (for myself, my bridesmaids, and my Momma) and Clare did just that. Clare arrived early, set up, and got right to work. She was able to get all 9 of us done EARLY, which eased my worried mind and helped with my wedding timeline. I felt FLAWLESS and light, not weighed down by a ton of product, and I felt like I was the prettiest bride in the world (which is how everyone should feel). The make up also stayed on for the entire wedding day and I woke up feeling glamorous due to the gorgeous fake eyelashes. I absolutely loved Clare! I am reminiscing today on my wedding (which was a year ago)and I am if not sure I posted a review then but wanted to make sure I give Clare the credit she deserves! My makeup was absolutely perfect. I have little experience with makeup hence do not wear a ton and I felt Clare made me look so natural. Clare is a makeup rockstar!!!! She did mine, my 5 girls, and both mothers makeup for my wedding on October 28th. Clare really takes the time to personalize each look to the person's preferences. I personally don't wear a lot of makeup, so she created a STUNNING natural look for my wedding that was just the right amount of drama. She also found the perfect lip color that lasted all night long. But that's not even the best part- it rained ALL DAY of the wedding- my husband and I were outside for at least two hours in the cold getting photographs. We were soaked- but my makeup stayed FLAWLESS. Seriously not a smudge, smear, or crease to be found. I needed no touch ups between the ceremony and when the reception started. It looked the same even after breaking it down on the dance floor all night long. Clare's skills are unmatched. The airbrush and lashes can't be beat. She did a great job of a natural look to my wedding makeup. She was easy to work with...even traveling to the hotel to do just my makeup. Many other artists mandated a minimum spend in order to travel to the hotel. We did a free trial run before the wedding documenting the look. Everything was perfect!

Clare was a dream to work with for my wedding! I have never felt more beautiful than I did on my wedding day after she was done with my make-up. Clare was very professional and came prepared to work her magic. She was able to make any changes that we requested of our looks and didn't feel like she needed to do our make up her way. Clare did such a wonderful job on my makeup as well as my mother's and bridesmaids. It still looked like me just done up. She kept true to who I am in terms of how I like my makeup done. Above all, my fiancé wanted me to look myself on our wedding day (but there was no way I was going make-up free) so my bridesmaids and I scoured the internet for a makeup artists whose photos showed a very natural look. I’m so glad that Clare was available. I went to her house for a FREE make up trial (unlike most other MUAs we contacted) and we were all so pleased with how it came out. It’s also worth noting that I found her much more affordable that all the other MUAs who are just as highly rated. On the day, of the wedding Clare came to our hotel and did makeup for myself, my mother and two bridesmaids. We all wanted different styles and she managed to nail every single one. I can’t count the number of compliments I received on my wedding day and, most importantly, I felt so beautiful. Not to mention that after dancing for the entire night my makeup was still flawless when I reached back to the hotel. I would whole-heartedly recommend her to any bride.

She did an absolutely amazing job with the makeup. I did a trial with her a few weeks earlier and the makeup looked good. I definitely got the feeling that she was good at her job. A few days before the wedding I sent her a picture for the eye makeup that I thought would complement me better. Without having done that type of makeup for me during the trial, she delivered exactly what I wanted on the wedding day. I loved how the makeup looked and it stayed on the whole day.

Clare is incredibly talented, kind, and easy to work with - I highly recommend her! I cannot sing Clare's praises enough! She did my makeup, along with 8 bridesmaids and my mother, for my June 23 wedding. She was able to give everyone the exact look they wanted so that they felt beautiful! My mom was especially nervous because she never wears any makeup, and Clare did the perfect natural look on her so that she felt comfortable and like herself. After looking at the photos from my trial before the wedding, I decided I wanted a darker look around my eyes, and she was able to execute it the day of exactly how I wanted. She is also super down to earth and approachable, so I never felt awkward telling her I wanted something done differently or changed (I get terrible salon anxiety and have been known to leave the hair or nail studio with something I hate because I'm too nervous to tell them to change something - I didn't feel this at all with her!). I should also mention she did all 10 of us by 12pm so that we were not rushed in getting ready for my first look at 1:30! 100% book her for your wedding, you won't be sorry!

Second, Clare is so professional and dependable. Clare was easily accessible via e-mail and she was so organized with scheduling our trial and day-of appointment. Clare was a dream to work with. So easy going, from the trial run to the wedding day itself. It was 94 degrees and 100% humidity on my wedding day. After 12 hours of wear and lots of blotting all day, there was still PLENTY of coverage on my face by the time I washed it off. That's how good her airbrush technique is. She also found me the perfect lipstick shade (which I have struggled with), and now I wear it almost every day. Do not hesitate to book her!

Claire is the most amazing make up artist ever. I typically am super picky with makeup and have never liked my face when I got makeup done until I met Claire. I was a bridesmaid in a wedding and immediately when she did my makeup, I hired her for my wedding the next year. And I couldn't have been happier with my wedding day makeup. It was the perfect mix of natural/fresh/fancy. In addition, Claire did 15 people's make up that day. She handled it so well and was completely calm and even helped us manage a tuxedo crisis. I cannot recommend her enough... in fact all of my friends have either used her for theirs or are using her in the future because of how awesome she is!!

I even gave her the wrong hotel address at first (sent her to the wrong address on the wedding day! OOPS!). She could have showed up agitated when she eventually made it to the right place but she laughed it off and was very professional about my silly (blonde) mistake!

Clare was the best to work with! My sister booked her for her wedding back in 2009, so based off her makeup, i had to use her as well! She traveled over an hour to our wedding site, was there before the agreed upon time, and even waiting around while we were rounding up the stragglers that still needed make-up. Everyone LOVED their make-up! My bridesmaids were particularly excited about how well she put on false lashes! They were perfect! i also took advantage of the discounted products, I wish I got 2 of everything! I still use it all! She also traveled to my parents house for a free trial, we worked it out that she did my trial the day of my shower (2 birds with 1 stone). Everyone also raved about how good it looked then! I also liked that she used MAC products so my face didn't feel cakey and it lasted until the next morning! All in all I would highly recommend her!

I was so glad when I found Clare on the Knot. She is so nice, awesome and very easy to work with! When I went for my free make up trial, I had told her I wanted a natural look for my wedding day and Clare knew what I wanted based off of the pictures I showed her from my Pinterest. On the day of our wedding, she showed up early. I had eight people that needed their makeup done and she got everyone done in about 3 hours. I don't usually wear a lot of makeup but during our tutorial meeting she helped me find a look that made me feel like a classic bombshell--light around the eyes, and a bold red lipstick for pop. The morning of my wedding, she was early and took care of me and my five bridesmaids in three hours. The makeup held up all day, even when it started to thunderstorm and we had to run for the garden tent! Thank you again, Clare, for making me and my ladies feel gorgeous!

Clare is a calm, talented and accommodating make up artist. She did a fantastic job for my wedding July 1, 2017. She was willing to come on site to do make up for only me (I didn't have a bridal party) when many others wouldn't. The included trial at her home beforehand was also incredibly helpful, and she was very patient as we tried many different things to get exactly what I wanted. She was able to capture exactly what I was hoping for -- natural appearing make up that didn't look fake or feel heavy. Clare is also super easy going which made her presence on wedding day calming and wonderful! I would recommend her to anyone -- thanks so much Clare!

It was just my mother and me for the weeding makeup. She showed up right on time, ( has never met my mother before) but did her makeup perfectly to bring out her best features , She had done my makeup trial and on the first try got exactly what I was envisioning. On the wedding day tweaked my make up even more after seeing my dress and everything together. lasted all day and night ( my wedding was early) and even gave me the lipstick I loved as a gift!
